How to Get Rid of the Plumbob in The Sims 4?

The plumbob can be bothersome, at times, isn't it? It can really get in the way visually, especially when you're trying to take a perfect screenshot of your Sims or gameplay. The good news is, you can easily get rid of that distracting green diamond hovering above your Sim's head with a simple cheat code. Here's how you can get rid of the plumbob in The Sims 4.

Cheat Code to Remove the Plumbob

Once you have enabled the cheats, open the cheat box again and key in "headlineeffects off". The plumbob will go away once you hit enter.

First, you have to enable cheats.

How to enable cheats?

1. Open the cheat box by pressing:

   • On PC: Press Ctrl + Shift + C.

   • On Mac: Press Command + Shift + C.

   • On Console: Press all four triggers.

2. Once the cheat box appears, type in "testingcheats true". Once you pressed enter, you will see that cheats are now enabled, and you can use the cheat code to hide the plumbob.

If you wish to have it back once you've captured your screenshot, simply open the cheat box again and type "headlineeffects on". The green diamond will come popping again once you press enter.

That's it! Removing the plumbob is a cinch. All you have to do is enable cheats, use "headlineeffects off"cheat code, and you can enjoy your gameplay or take better screenshots without that distracting green diamond hovering above your Sim's head!
